Nic Papalia’s dingo, Lindy, enjoying a nap. Nic is founder of the Western Australian Dingo Association. Visit www.wadingo.com
The dingo is an endangered type of wolf that has lived on the Australian mainland for thousands of years and evolved alongside prey species to establish efficient and well balanced ecosystems.
It is the only animal capable of keeping Australian wildlife healthy by keeping prey and pest species in check.
Unfortunately, like our Tasmanian tiger in our shameful past, he is being vilified and killed off by powerful rural and hunting lobbies that clasp an abundance of ignorance, cruelty and greed.

So cute! – How come they don’t make good pets? What behavoural problems do they have?
A friend of mine had to give away her Collie sheepdog to a farmer because he was just going nuts living as a domestic dog with her family – ordinary daily walks weren’t enough
Yet Collies are kept in their thousands as domestic family dogs – people should research the reality of the breed before they get them
Lots of breeds are kept as pets without it being really advisable – e.g. Huskies, pitbulls
that is adorable
Wow. Hahaha.
ooh, this is soo cute. i also love dingos from the bottom of my heart. they are fantastic animals and very beautiful.
i love dingos from the bottom of my heart
damn im jealous u guys get all the fun
BjossaLover: No problem… There’s nothing wrong with questioning things.
Oh. I’m sorry. I’m glad she’s happy and safe
BjossaLover: I am strongly opposed to the general public keeping dingoes as “pets” because it rarely works out well as a result of the behavioural tendencies these wild animals have that most people find impossible to deal with.
However,Lindy is not in a regular home. She lives with Nic Papalia, founder of the WA dingo association, with whom she campaigns for the protection of wild dingoes as an ambassador for her species.Nic is experienced, dedicated and patient enough to keep her safe and happy.
Dingos shouldn’t be kept as pets. They are wild animals. Why is this one at a normal home?
Sounds like a freaking moose. xD
haha this is so cute. my bf snores like that but he blames it on the dog haha.
I can listen to this for hours!! I love to see and hear my dogs sleeping soundly. Such a peaceful feeling…
It’s always funny hearing something snore so damn loud huh? XD
Anyway. Great and funny video and nice information. ^^
omggg soo cute
Geeze she sounds like my dog when sleeping!
You’re welcome, ShakespeareRocky.
Thank you for sharing the information.
579862BRADLEY579862: Nic does keep Lindy as a companion, but also advises that dingoes are not domestic dogs, but wild animals that only few people have the ability to properly take care of. He has frequently expressed frustration over the all too frequent cases of dingoes being abandoned by people who realise that they have bitten off more than they can chew.
I’ve seen Lindy on other sites when I’ve searched for information on keeping dingoes as pets. Doesn’t Nic Papalia keep her as a pet? What does he think of keeping dingoes as pets?
lupinesoul: I’m not, but Nic Papalia is. I guess my username and his first name are similar enough to cause confusion over who I am. My name is Dimitrije, and I recorded this video while I was visiting Nic in Western Australia last November.
you are soo welcome!! i wish i was as lucky as you to be able to save these beautiful animals and have such a close relationship with them!! you are VERY lucky ^.^
