		<description>Take out the &quot;over&quot; from overweight.  Snoring is a warning sign of air obstruction.  You may not be the only one lacking sleep.  He may gasp for air in between snores and may not know it.  He may be suffering from lack of oxygen already and would not have rested well after hours of snoring.  Hypoxia or lack of oxygen may manifest in different ways - headache could be one example.  

Consult an ENT.
Second, when he is lying supine (or lying on his back), put most of the bulk of the pillow under his neck area making his head tilt back a litte (like it seems that he is trying to look at the headboard).</description>
