convince him to strap a tennis ball around his waist with string. Attach it in a way so that whenever he sleeps on his back it is uncomfortable because of the tennis ball . It actually works if you can convince him to try this .

I sympathize!! I have lived with the snorer for 39 years now.

Try to go to bed and get to sleep before he does. If you wake up in the night and can't go back to sleep because "Mac Truck is going up Apache Summit" again, go to a different bed.

I actually do sleep in the recliner in the den some nights. It is much more peaceful.

If he is sleeping with his back on the bed, try to convince him to sleep sideways. When you're facing upwards, the tissue falls into your throat in a way that causes snoring. This easily the single most effective, immediate solution.

Also, a healthy person is less likely to snore. There are plenty studies to show that those who eat and exercise well are less likely to snore.

Finally, part of it could just be innate. There's a chance there's just nothing you can do about it.
